Bridging Technologies is a group of companies that was first registered in 1982 as Rafran. The success of the company attracted the attentions of various investors and in 1997. The PQ Africa group bought a 70% stake in what was by then the second largest computer cabling company in South Africa. The company was subsequently renamed QDNC – Q Data Networks Cabling.

By late 1999, the company’s vision was to expand its’ skills and services in to the African continent with the inclusion of Wireless and Vsat solutions to meet Africa’s ever growing needs. This brought about a self initiated Management Buy Out from the PQ Africa group, by the minority shareholders in November 2000. The company was suitably renamed – Bridging Technologies International, better depicting the global communications solutions offered by the company to meet clients ever changing requirements.

BTI’s head office is based in Midrand, to ensure ease of access and prompt response to customer sites.

BTSA’s role is that of assuming the local responsibilities and market presence, for the provision of cabling, networking, wireless and various other services for the South African market.

BT’s ability to deploy technical staff (Implementation Teams) at short notice to any African region, places the company in the enviable position of being able to provide qualified services in the following areas:

Unix System Engineers, Cisco Wireless Certified Installers, Project Managers, Project Leaders & Team Leaders for Structured Cabling systems such as Systimax, RIT, Krone, Molex, ITT and ECS and Fibre Optic systems ranging from the conventional Multi-mode/Single-mode to Blown Fibre solutions both short and long haul.
